Hello and welcome to Shallotments - the website of the South Harpenden Allotments and Gardens Society.

Here in beautiful Harpenden we are proud of our many allotment sites. Fruit and vegetables, herbs and flowers are all grown on our 400+ plots - and there are some impressive plots!

Thinking of renting an allotment but don't know where to start? Got a veggie problem and need some advice? Or simply wondering what others are up to? Feel free to pop around for a chat with the plotholders or have a browse around our website. And if you're interested in renting a plot, why not ask our lettings secretary if there's one available on your preferred site - his contact details are on the "How To Join" page. The annual charge is only around £20 per plot and that includes water and the use of machinery!
